Language:  Study for DOL #18 test

Math:  Review over decimals and equivalent fractions. Complete WS

Social Studies:  Test today; we put together our Kentucky Booklet; we will start tomorrow!

Homework happenings for Wednesday, March 9th

   Even though this is not a regular homework night, we decided to postpone the Social Studies Test over Chapter 7 until tomorrow.  So, please remind your child to study for the test this evening.  ALso, we go to the computer lab tomorrow to take our AR test and spelling pretest on Spelling City.  You might want to review those words, especially the ones your child chose as the ones he/she didn't know well.

       Reminder that this Friday is AR cutoff day!  We will be compiling the names of those students who have made their third 9 week goal to particpate in our "Game Day" next Friday afternoon.  More to come later!!

homework happenings for Tuesday, March 8th

*****Tonight is Family Movie Night at 6:00 pm.  You may come and enjoy popcorn and soda with your family, while viewing "Percy Jackson and the Olympian".  You may also shop at our Book Fair from 4:00-6:00.******


Reading:  Read "Castle on Viola Street" and write 5 questions and answers from the story.

Due to Family Movie Night, we have moved the  Social Studies test back to Thursday.  Continue to study your study guide!

College Day at HLOE   GO VOLS!!!!

Spelling:  Copy /el/ words in agenda; fill out "Know/Don't Know" spelling sheet

Reading:  Read "What Sould I Be?" pp. 292-293  Reading WB 185-186

Math:  Lesson 12: "Adding and Subtracting Decimals"  pp. 69-70 in KCCT Book

Social Studies:  Finished Lesson "Being a Good Citizen" pg. 68-69; copy vocabulary word/definitions
          Complete Lesson 3 WS

******Don't forget: a chaperone meeting tonight in Mr. Hensel's room at 5:30 pm for parents who are going with us to Frankfort.  It should only be 45 minutes long.*********

Monday, March 7th @ 5:30 pm, we will have a chaperone meeting for our Frankfort trip.  There will be a reminder letter that will go out tomorrow. 

Homework Happenings for Wednesday, March 2nd

         No homework for this evening.  However, there are some important dates/ assignments to remember for the rest of the week:

Spelling:  Review your 3-column spelling chart to prepare for "Spelling City" pretest tomorrow.  If you make 100%,  you don't take it on Friday!!


Reading:  Be ready to take the AR quiz on "Animal Homes"  tomorrow in computer lab.  We have read it 3 times, so your child should be ready!


Math:  We took the fraction test today over comparing, ordering, adding and subtracting fractions.  We will begin with "Converting fractions to decimals" tomorrow.


Social Studies:  Mrs. Tilly came in today to share with the class about becoming a U.S. citizen.  Make sure your child is caught up with  vocabulary definitions so far.  We have completed Lesson 1 and 2.  


*******Snack Friday and Book Fair Preview is this Friday!  Next week, the Book Fair for the Spring will be opened!  Information will come home with your student today.************

Math:  Study for Fractions quiz, covering "Comparing fractions, adding/subtracting fractions, and ordering fractions"


Social Studies:  Read over Lesson 2 "Being a Good Citizen"  5 vocabulary words/definitions; Complete the comprehension WS over Lesson 2
