Monday, November 25th

Because of the short 2-day week, we will NOT have a spelling list, DOL sentences, reading story or Grammar lesson. We will be concentrating on math and Native Americans (Social Studies) this week! Math: Chapter Review on pp. 186 (9-26) Chapter 6 test tomorrow! Social Studies: Work on your Native American project. I have met today with each child and they have done some research on ideas for their project. Remember, project AND their presentation are due Monday, Dec. 9th! If they finish earlier, they can bring it in and go on and present.

Thursday, November 21

Study for spelling and DOL test. We were not able to go the lab today for our pretest, so ALL students will be taking the spelling test tomorrow. Math: WB 11-112 over nine facts; study for the times test tomorrow Grammar: Tenses of verbs WB 87-88

Tuesday, November 19

Math: Complete WB 107-108 Reading: Read the story "Jones Family Express" and complete the trifold. Social Studies: Be sure to get in the permission form for our native American project with your child' tribe choice. THanksgiving Break will be a great time to get a head start on the project! **Please be sure to check your child's folder tonight for a note concerning the lunch schedule for Thursday's big Thanksgiving meal at school. The times are different!

Monday, November 18th

Spelling: ABC order and parts of speech WS Reading: Practice O WB 95-96 Social Studies: Finish Native American Tribes information chart (many finished it in class today!) Math: Continue to study multiplication facts! We are continuing our "race to the Ice Cream Treat"! Look for a math test sometime early next week.

THursday, November 14th

Study spelling and DOL sentences Math: complete x7 WB 103-104; study your times facts for our timed test tomorrow! Don't forget to turn in your sheet indicating which Native American tribe you wish to do your project about. They are due tomorrow!

Monday, November 11th

Spelling: Make up a story using 10 of your spelling words. Reading: Finish making your vocabulary cards. Be sure to illustrate and write a synonym for each word. Practice the words with your adult! Math: Study your multiplication facts!! We still have quite a few students who have not passed the 3s and 4s. Next timed test is on Wednesday. We are testing on the 6s.

Thursday, November 7

Study DOL/spelling Math: WB pp 97-100; Study for next times test (5,3,or 4) Grammar: WB 75-76 Tomorrow is the last day for the Book Fair! Parents, you may want to come today after school and visit the Book Fair with your child!
