Homework Happenings for Wednesday, March 23rd
Spelling: Study for your test; we will ALL take our test tomorrow either on "Spelling City" or on paper.
Social Studies: Review you study guide for your KY government test tomorrow; also practice singing your song "Three Branches of Government" for your parent!
Tomorrow we go to Morningside at 2:00. We will be visiting with our "grandparent" in their apartment. We will then make a quick trip back to record, with Mrs. Hammons' class, our version of "Rocky Top" for the HLOE news. Busy Day!!!

*If your child attends Math Night tonight, they do NOT need to complete the math homework sheet. Just make sure to come and find me, so I know they attended. I will be in my room.

We are so excited as we countdown to our Frankfort trip on Friday!!! We will be sending home lots of informtaion in the next few days about important things you need to know to be prepared for our trip. Don't forget....we will leave on Friday bright and early at 5:00 am. You must be here 15 minutes beforehand to get checked in. We will be pulling out at EXACTLY 5:00 am. DON'T BE LATE!

Homework happenings for Wednesday, March 9th
Even though this is not a regular homework night, we decided to postpone the Social Studies Test over Chapter 7 until tomorrow. So, please remind your child to study for the test this evening. ALso, we go to the computer lab tomorrow to take our AR test and spelling pretest on Spelling City. You might want to review those words, especially the ones your child chose as the ones he/she didn't know well.
Reminder that this Friday is AR cutoff day! We will be compiling the names of those students who have made their third 9 week goal to particpate in our "Game Day" next Friday afternoon. More to come later!!

Spelling: Review your 3-column spelling chart to prepare for "Spelling City" pretest tomorrow. If you make 100%, you don't take it on Friday!!
Reading: Be ready to take the AR quiz on "Animal Homes" tomorrow in computer lab. We have read it 3 times, so your child should be ready!
Math: We took the fraction test today over comparing, ordering, adding and subtracting fractions. We will begin with "Converting fractions to decimals" tomorrow.
Social Studies: Mrs. Tilly came in today to share with the class about becoming a U.S. citizen. Make sure your child is caught up with vocabulary definitions so far. We have completed Lesson 1 and 2.
*******Snack Friday and Book Fair Preview is this Friday! Next week, the Book Fair for the Spring will be opened! Information will come home with your student today.************
