Thursday, October 30th

Spelling: Study for test! We did not take a pretest, so ALL students will test tomorrow. Recopy Personal Narrative on notebook paper in BEST handwriting!! These will be filed in our portfolio for the Intermediate School! Study x8 facts (or whatever facts they are on) for timed test. **We will be ending our timed tests NEXT FRIDAY (Nov 7th). Our Ice Cream Celebration will be sometime the week of Nov. 10-14.** DOn't forget tomorrow is our Books Alive! Parade at 1:30, with our party following at 2:30.

Monday, October 27th

Math: WB pg 11-112 Study facts UP TO 6 facts. We will take "catch up" tests tomorrow. x7 facts test will be Wednesday. Writing: You child will be bringing home their personal narrative to continue writing. Be sure to read the cover letter as to what they are to complete, with your help! We will be finishing them up on Tuesday and Wednesday. Important dates this week: *Pumpkin carving on Wednesday *Books Alive! parade and Halloween parties on Friday. You may come and view the parade and stay for our class parties!

Tuesday, October 21st

Reading: Read "Author, a True Story" with an adult. Sign reading log. Complete reading comprehension WS Science :Study for Chapter 1 science test. Review study guide! **Book Fair shopping day tomorrow! Don't forget to bring money to purchase books!**

Monday, October 20th

Math: Study your multiplication facts tonight! We introduced the x3 facts. You need to study which ever fact set you haven't passed. Writing: Finish up letter to your Morningside friend. You may color it. Our visit is tomorrow at 2:30! Science: Vocabulary WB 19-20. Test is on Wednesday. **Parent Teacher Conferences are Tuesday night from 4-7 pm. Be sure to get here on time for your conference! Our Book Fair is open that night for parents to shop!**

Thursday, October 16th

NO spelling test tomorrow! Reading: Comprehension WS Math: Study x5 facts for timed test. WB pp 99-100 **Don't forget to remind your children to dress comfortably for AG day tomorrow. Maybe a cap or sun glasses because we will be out all day. ALso, may be cool in the morning, so a light jacket will be good. **

Good afternoon! Hope everyone had a great, restful Fall Break. We are ready to begin our second nine weeks today. Math: Study the x2 multiplication facts. Tomorrow is our first "sprint" test over 2 facts. Reading: Complete Practice O WB 59-60

Wednesday, October 1st

NO spelling or DOL test this week!! Grammar: Irregular plural nouns WB 49-50 **We are continuing to work on our personal narrative plan throughout this week. After Fall Break, we will begin to write our rough draft version for this 4 paragraph story. We will complete the final piece by the week of October 27th.
