Reading: Read "The Printer" with an adult. Develop 5 questions and answers from the story. Try to use "how" and "why" questions!!

Math test today. No HW

Social Studies: Study for the test (Chpt 7); make sure that you have the 15 vocabulary words and their definitions completed. Use the study guide and vocabulary words to study with!

Because of our short week, we DO have a small assignment tonight. Please reread the story in your reader: "Carousel of Dreams" with your mom/dad. Review the trifold that we completed in class.

Tomorrow is Ice Cream Sundae Day!
We will be celebrating our hard work on multiplication facts with a party filled with ice cream and all the trimmings! We will start around 1:30 and be finished around 2:15.

Spelling: Copy spelling words 2x each (cursive) or 3x each (print) on paper

Social Studies: Reread Lesson 2 "Duties of a Citizen". Complete comprehension WS.
We are looking at next Wednesday (29th) for the Social Studies test. Study Guide will be going home this week.

We will be designing and creating a University of Alabama classroom door for our door contest. Do some research online and find some interesting facts/pictures to add to our design!

We will be celebrating our "Master Multipliers" with an ice cream sundae party this Thursday. Bring you appetite and enjoy your hard work! We have all the supplies!

Reading: No snow this morning.......so no "snow plan"! Tonight, read the story "Beatrice's Goat" with an adult again. Complete the trifold for understanding. Be sure to have your reader sign your reading log.

Math: We have started Chpt 10 "Money". Work the WB 5/6 for HW.

We exchanged our Valentines today, so no Social Studies for this evening.

Spelling: No tic tac toe; copy spelling words 2x each in cursive or 3x each in print

Math: We are wrapping up our "ice cream sundaes"! Study the 9 facts this evening and complete the x9 WS. We will take the 9 test on Tuesday. If you have not passed your 7's or 8's, you will have today to take them, or you will take them tomorrow. You cannot move on to the 9's until you have passed.

Study spelling words and Daily Oral Language (DOL) sentences.

Make sure you have completed the 17 science definitions. You will turn them in tomorrow.

Study for the Chpt 6 science test.

We are at a standstill with our multiplication fact tests. Many students are still on the 7 and 8 facts. We will give them until Monday to get caught up. The next test (x9) will be on Tuesday!

Homework Happenings for Tuesday, February 7th

Reading: Read the story "Boom Town" and make up 5 detailed questions/answers. We will use them to develop our pop quiz for tomorrow!

Math: Bar modeling WB 175-176

Science: We are going to be "Rock Hounds" today and experiment with rocks and minerals in class. Be sure to ask your child about what interesting traits they discovered!

Mid-term progress reports will be going home tomorrow. Please look over and discuss with your child if they need to work to bring up any areas. Be sure to sign and return!

Reading: Practice O WB 149-150

Math: On to the x8 multiplication facts!!! Study the 8 facts tonight and complete WS on them.

Upcoming tests:
We will be taking a "Group" Barmodeling test on THursday. We will set up the problems together with bar models and then the students will solve them on their own.

Science, Chpt 6 test probably on Friday. I have already handed out the study guide (blue).
