Monday, April 28

NO spelling/DOL/Reading HW assignments this week. We are concentrating on reading/language arts review of concepts we have covered this year. We will complete most work in class; some review WS will be handed out for HW. Reading: passage/comprehension review WS Math: Area WB 219-220 ***THis Thursday we will be attending a testing kickoff and touring LOIS. Students will leave HLOE around 11 am and return around 1:00 pm. We will eat sack lunches while we are there.***

Thursday, April 24

Complete spelling squares and study for test Reading: COmplete reading review WS **Your child has the option of recopying their rough draft of their On Demand Letter to the Second Graders tonight OR they may choose to copy it. Please check for spelling mistakes if you don't mind. They also have the choice of recopying it tomorrow in clASS. We will be having a Writing Celebration tomorrow afternoon for all who have finished copying the final draft of their letters.**

Tuesday, April 22

Math: Finish up the chapter review on pp 340-344 Study the terms/shapes. Test is tomorrow! Reading: Read "Home-Grown Butterflies" and have parent sign reading log. Complete short answer WS Today is our last visit to Morningside! Thank you for allowing us to take your child over each month to develop a relationship with a Morningside resident.

Monday, April 21

Begin spelling squares for this week. All activities are due on Friday! Math: WB 211-212 **Math test is on Wednesday over Geometry chapter**

Thursday, April 17

Turn in Spelling Squares sheet and 3 activities Study for spelling and DOL test. Math: WB 101-102 Reading: reading review WS on "Mother to Tigers" Tomorrow is our Spring Party with all our third graders meeting in the gym at 2:25 for fun Easter themed games! Come join us for the fun. Children cannot be checked out early .

Tuesday, April 15

Continue to work on spelling squares activities. They are ALL due on Friday. Math: Fraction take home test. (This grade will be substituted for the second Fraction Test grade where I usually double the grade). Parents may help. Reading: Read "Mother to Tigers" and sign reading log. Complete trifold.

Monday, April 14th

Spelling: Begin spelling square activities. ALL are due, stapled, on Friday! Math: Geometry WS Spring Parties are this Friday. We are planning on some fun games, races all outside to welcome the coming of Spring!! Come join us around 2.

Thursday, April 10

Study spelling and DOL sentences. Reading: Complete reading review WS Math: Make your "Study Guide" from Chpt Review pp. 161-164 **Test tomorrow!**

Good Afternoon, All!! Hope everyone had a great, restful Spring Break. I know I did. IT's hard to believe that we are rounding the corner of our third grade school year. Homework tonight: Spelling: NO spelling squares this week; copy words 3 times each in ABC order. Math: Equivalent Fractions: WB 100 Reading: COmplete Practice O WB 199 I have given lots of time today to work on our HW, so you can help cheer on the KY Wildcats tonight!!
