Tonight is Family Night....No Homework tonight!! Spend time with your family!! DATE CHANGE: Our PTO program, which we will present on Thursday night @ 6:00 pm, will be shown to the school at an assembly on Friday, May 3rd. We were scheduled for Thursday afternoon, but had to make a change. Any parent who cannot attend on Thursday night may want to come on Friday afternoon at 2:30pm. We are reviewing in math and reading/language arts in preparation for our State testing next week. Therefore, NO spelling list, NO DOL, NO reading story, and NO grammar. We will have science when we can fit it in. Science: WB 217-218 ***BLOG BUSTER*** Our college, University of Florida, is being highlighted on the news this week. One student from our class will be chosen to present some interesting facts about our school on the newscast! I plan on choosing the student who does the most research on the following questions: 1. What is the mascot? 2. What city/state is our college located in? 3. Are there any famous persons who attended U of FL? Who? 4. What are some majors offered at our college? 5. Math: Elapsed time, using timelines. WS 113-114 Spelling: study words if you did NOT make 100% on pretest! ***BLOG BUSTER*** We are beginning our study of forces and motion. Think about a particular sport (bowling, baseball, golf, soccer, etc) and how we use various types of forces (push, pull) and motions (back/forth, zig zag, round and round, etc). Describe elements in the sport and the forces/motions involved. You may draw a diagram if you wish!!

Math: We have completed the study guide (Chpt Review from the textbook) together. Please review this and other problems on area and perimeter. Test is tomorrow! Spelling: Write words 3xeach on paper NO DOL or grammar this week. We will be having On-Demand Week! Reading: Read the assigned level book tonight with your student. You may sign the reading log for "American Hero" OR sign their agenda, saying they have read with you. Complete the 3 questions on the last page. Study for spelling test and DOL test. Math: Area/Perimeter word problems WB 236-236 Our Chpt 19 math test over area and perimeter will be next Tuesday. We will be reviewing on Friday and Monday. Your child will complete the Chpt review at the end of the chapter on Monday!

Math: Area and Perimeter WB 227-228 Spelling: Copy spelling words 3X each on paper (Print) or 2X each (Cursive) MAPs testing finishes up this week. Reading is today and Language is on Wednesday. Our trip was a GREAT success!! Thanks to all our parents/grandparents who were chaperones. You were one of the reasons that the trip went off without a hitch!

Homework Happenings for Monday, April 4th

It's the "Countdown to Frankfort"!! 4 days and counting until we head up the West KY Pkwy to our state's capitol!! Spelling: We are doing a spelling "tic tac toe" this week in lieu of a spelling WS and test. Your child has until Thursday to complete three (3) activities listed on the sheet Be sure to staple ALL papers to the cover sheet before turning it in. Writing: Finish up your 3 paragraph story on "My Spring Break" in your composition book. We will be sharing them tomorrow. We will also be working on our KY folders in class. Anything you want to research and copy about our great state to include in the folder, you may! Dates to Remember: Friday, April 12th 4:45 am. Be here to load the bus to Frankfort. We will be returning around 8:00 pm. We will call you to let you know an exact time as we are coming home.
