Homework Happenings for Thursday, Feb. 28th

Math: We are ready for the chapter 14 test over fractions. Tonight the HW is to complete their "study guide" which is the Chpt Review on pp. 160-162 Study for DOL and spelling tests Language/Writing: Recopy your opinion paragraph IN YOUR BEST HANDWRITING on notebook paper! ****BLOG BUSTER***** We are talking about our local government with this chapter. Be watching the newspaper for some examples of local government at work. You may bring in articles, pictures,etc to share! Look for a Social Studies test sometime next week.

Math: Comparing, listing fractions WB 105-105 **Expect a test over chpt 14 probably Friday or Monday. Reading: Read "Carousel of Dreams" with an adult. Complete trifold. Social Studies: WB 65-66 ***Today, your child's Winter Maps score are coming home. I have highlighted the growth by a typical third grade student and then how your child showed growth. Please email me or let me know if you need to see me for any further questions. We will be taking this test again in the spring to see what our growth for the year is.*****

Math: Fraction WS Continue to review multiplication facts!!! Reading: Read "Boom Town" at home and have parent sign reading log. Complete trifold. BLOG BUSTER: We are reading a story this week that is set during the famous Gold Rush of the mid-1840's. Can you do a little research and find out some towns/cities that were settled during this period of time?

Homework Happenings for Thursday, Feb. 7th

Study for spelling test (unless your child made 100% in spelling city today!) and DOL test. Science Test: Study Chpt 6 study guide AND vocabulary definitions. **Turn in definitions tomorrow with test!** Remember to wear Navy and Crimson (dark red) tomorrow in honor of Ole Miss! Heads up!!!! On February 22nd, we will have a "dress as your career" Day! You can dress up as what you want to be when you grow up! We will share our careers on this day.
