Spelling: We are trying something new to help us "study smarter" on our spelling lists. Your child's HW is to place each spelling word in one of three columns: Words I Know, Words I Kind of Know, and Words I Do NOT Know. You may help your child to work on where each word needs to go. I will conference with each child tomorrow on why they chose to place each word in the columns. We will then work on a plan on how to study for these words this week. This should keep us from studying harder, but instead, studying smarter!
Math: We began Lesson 11 in KCCT book on "Adding and Subtracting Fractions" Homework in WS 90/91.
Reading: Vocabulary WB 177/178.
Social Studies: We had a guest speaker, Det. Mike Wentworth, came and spoke to us about the rights and responsibilities of a citizen. He also shared with us about his job as a police detective with the Paducah Police Dept. Thanks, Det. Wentworth for talking with us today!
